Obituary of Gordon Blair Pollock
It is with great sadness we announce the death of “Gordon Blair Pollock” at St. Joseph’s Hospital on July 20, 2015 with his family by his side. Born in Elgin on May 28, 1923 he was a son of the late Percy & Edith (Thom) Pollock. He resided in Upham. He was a farmer, bus driver, a butcher, a cook, a member of the Upham volunteer fire department, the Hammond River Valley senior’s club and a member of the LSD advisory of Upham. He loved to play cards and dance. He is survived by his loving wife Peggy (Margaret Anderson) for 65 years; his sons: Walter (Diane) of Gardner’s Creek, Richard (Anita) of Norton, Alan (Karen) of Upham, Daryl of Upperton and Kevin (Jennifer) of Hampton; daughter Wanda (Dave) of Moncton; grandchildren: Terry-Lynn, Stephanie, Shawn, Shannon, Leanne, Tara, Kayla, Erin, Kristi, Lacey, Tanner, Jade, Samantha, Timothy, Talmon and Jonathan; and his great-grandchildren: Cohen and Dallas. Besides his parents, Gordon was predeceased by a baby brother, his sister Marion McCutcheon and his brother Elmer Pollock. Arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506 433-2133) from where visitation will be held Thursday, July 23 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 24 from St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upham, at 2:00 pm. Donations to St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upham or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Interment will be held in Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. The family would like to thank the doctor’s and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their professional care and concern.
