The death of Jessie Ida (Long) Goddard of Sussex and formerly of Apohaqui occurred on February 5, 2003. Jessie was the wife of the late Charlie Goddard and daughter of the late Arthur and Alva (McKnight) Long. She is survived by her daughters Gail Bagley (Bill) of Quispamsis, Karen McMillan (Rick) of Belleisle Creek and Christina Alexander (Dave) of Edmonton Alberta, sons Ron (Elaine) Goddard of Apohaqui and Bruce (Jo-Ann) Goddard of Sussex Corner, sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, her sister Lillian Smith of Riverview and several nieces and nephews. Jessie was predeceased by her husband and parents, a son David and her brother Raymond Long. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday from 7-9 PM. A funeral service for family and close friends will be held on Saturday February 8, 2003 at the Silas James United Church, Apohaqui. Interment will be at Riverbank Cemetery in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Canadian Diabetic Society or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
