Peacefully on April 14, 2008 in the Saint John Regional Hospital, Richard Lawrence “Ray” Raymond of Sussex Corner. Loving husband of the late Diana M. (Earle) (Snow) Raymond. Ray was born at Bloomfield, NB in 1923 a son of the late Kenneth and Kathleen (Fairweather) Raymond. Ray served overseas with the RCAF during WWII and spent most of his working career with Bristol Myers Pharmaceuticals. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Reid of Ottawa and Lynn Alward (Douglas) of Rothesay, sons; Blair Snow of Pownal, PEI and Geoffrey Snow (Catherine) of Quispamsis, grandchildren; Michael (Heather) Alward, Christina (Dave) Aubé, James Alward, Melissa Broda, Nicholas, Sara and Katie Snow, Brandon, Tyler, Ryley and Caelum Snow and Jessica and Brady Reid, great grandchildren Abby Broda and Ethan Alward. In addition to his wife, Ray was predeceased by sisters Ruth and Ann Raymond and brother Gerald Raymond. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Thursday from 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday April 18, 2008 at 1PM at St. Marks Anglican Church, Sussex Corner. Donations made to St. Marks Anglican Church or the Dialysis Unit of the Sussex Health Centre would be appreciated.
