Obituary of Emma Blanche Brown
The death of Emma Blanche Brown of Sussex Corner, NB occurred on March 15, 2009 at the age of 65. Born at Roachville, a daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Riedle) Robinson. Emma is survived by her loving husband Wayne G. Brown, daughters; Laura Ravn (Mark) of Sussex Corner and Stephanie Rogers (Craig) of Truro, NS, son Matthew Brown (Kathleen) of Darlings Island, NB, grandchildren; Cally, Zachary, Jacob, Samuel, Ella and soon to be born fourth grandson, brothers; Frank (Janet) Robinson of Mount Middleton, Austin (Patricia) Robinson of St. George and sisters; Catherine Jones (Harry) of Fredericton, Margaret Calvert (John) of Bloomfield and Helen Brown (Dan) of Fredericton and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Emma was predeceased by her parents, granddaughter Rogers, niece Rachel Robinson and nephew Timothy Brown. Born and raised on a family farm in Roachville, Emma embraced her traditional lifestyle and enjoyed the simple things in life; her family, her friends and her home in Sussex Corner. Conscientious, inquisitive and very thoughtful, she constantly sought knowledge and questioned others in order to gain a deeper understanding of life. Her church, her community and her faith were an important part of her daily life. A Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend – Emma was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her and will be sadly missed. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday March 19, 2009 at the St. John’s United Church, Sussex Corner at 11:00AM.
