The death of Marion Ruth [Illsley] Parlee occurred on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home. Marion was born in Markhamville September 12, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Ethel [Smith] Illsley. Marion is survived by her children, Patricia Holder [George] Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Walter Parlee, Drury’s Cove, Edith McCrea [Richard] Collina, Jean Parlee [Francis] Petitcodiac, David Parlee, Drury’s Cove, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grand children, sisters Eva Lisson, Sussex and Winnifred Nixon, Margetsville, N.S. Marion was predeceased by her husband Vernon Parlee, grandsons Scott Cunningham and Michael McCrea, sister Annie Lisson, brother Heber Illsley. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex [506-433-2133] on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday October 10, 2010 at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Scott Hillier officiating. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. Donations made to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated. On Mom’s tombstone will be inscribed her name, the year of her birth, a dash and the year of her death. We, her family, are glad that we were included in her dash.
