The death of Shirley Ann Thorne of Sussex occurred on January 29, 2004. Born at Sussex on June 1, 1950, a daughter of Jean (Rouselle) Richardson of Sussex and the late Murray Richardson. Shirley is survived by her mother, husband Glenn Thorne, sons Scott and Grant of Sussex, sister Marilyn Whithers of Black River, brothers Robert (Mary) Richardson of South Branch and John (Molly) Richardson of Jeffries Corner and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by an infant son Shawn Michael. At Shirley's request there will be no visiting. A graveside service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133). As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
