The death of Robert Oliver Wortman of Sussex Corner, NB, beloved husband of Doris V. (Hayward) Wortman, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on April 14, 2008. He was born at Point Wolfe, NB in 1922, a son of the late Robert and Verna (Douglas) Wortman. Robert was a member of St. John’s United Church, the LOL #78 Waterford, RBP #880, Sussex Branch #20 Royal Canadian Legion and a former member of the Sussex Vale Golden K. In addition to his wife Robert is survived by son Douglas Wortman and wife Joanne of Sussex Corner, grandchildren Tammy Hourihan (Darren), Tracy McLaughlin (James), Corey Wortman and Kerry Wortman; great grandchildren Kyle and Abby Hourihan and Holly and Ryan McLaughlin, sister Olive Morrissey of Hampton and sister-in-law Marilyn Wortman of Riverview. He was predeceased by his son R. James Wortman and brother Raymond Wortman. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The LOL will conduct a memorial service Wednesday at 6:45PM. The funeral service will be held Thursday April 17, 2008 at 2:00PM at St. John’s United Church, Sussex Corner. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. Memorial donations to St. John’s United Church or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
