Ward, Robert “Lloyd”, 85, of Kierstead Mountain passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on Monday April 21, 2014. Born in Highfield, he as a son of the late Robert and Nettie (nee Robinson) Ward. Lloyd worked as a Nursing Orderly at the Saint John General Hospital, and operated a stall at the Saint John City Market. He is survived by his sister, Irene Thompson of Kierstead Mountain; his niece Nancy Stewart (David) of Searsville; his great-nephews: Jeremy and Alex Stewart; as well as by many extended family members and friends. Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his brother-in-law Harold Thompson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday April 24, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Brian Steeves presiding. There will be a time of fellowship immediately following the service. Interment will be held in the Pearsonville United Church Cemetery.
