Mr. Kenneth Mark Parlee, of Waterford, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on January 27, 2017. Ken was born in Wards Creek on October 8, 1927 and was the son of the late Frederick and Geneva (Anderson) Parlee and husband of Viola (Starkey) Parlee. Ken is survived by his wife of 70 years, Viola; his children: Frank Parlee (Donna) of Saint John, Sherry Parlee (Jeff) of Penobsquis and Starla Logan of Penobsquis; his brother, Walter Parlee (Pauline) of Waterford; his sister, Audrey Forsythe (Edgar) of Parlee Brook; his grandchildren: Michelle Parlee-Buchanan, Mark Davidson, Patricia Davidson and Sarah Parlee-Nickerson; his great grandson Gerry Stevens as well as his constant companion Lady Brown. Ken was predeceased by his sons: Wayne and Gerry as well as his sister Yvonne Buchanan. Arrangements are in the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, NB (506) 433-2133 from where visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from the Sussex Select Chapel at 2:00pm. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery in the spring.
