Marie Foster of Sussex passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 26, 2014. Born and raised in Mill Cove, NB, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Thelma Ferris. Marie married Otis Foster of Belleisle Creek, NB on June 1/68. She is survived by her husband Otis Foster of Sussex; her sons: Gordon Foster of Ottawa, ON and Andrew Foster (Murielle Gaudet) of Fredericton; her granddaughter Miranda (nee Foster) McDonald (Jason) of Nerepis, NB; her sister Darlene Patriquin of Cambridge Narrows, NB; as well as by many extended family members and friends. Marie was a past member of the ACW and had taught Sunday school at Sussex Trinity Anglican Church. She was a member of the Special Care Home Association for 9 years. Marie dedicated her life to helping others in need. She has extended a helping hand to family, friends, and others through her foster home and special care home. She worked tirelessly to ensure she provided them the best of care and was dedicated to their well being and making them feel as part of the family and the community. Thank you for making our lives better and for making a difference. You will be greatly missed. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Marie’s Life will be held on Wednesday December 31, 2014 at 11:00 am at Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Wandlyn Snelgrove presiding. Interment will be held in the White’s Cove Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Trinity Anglican Church Building or other funds of this church would be appreciated by the family.
