The death of Frances Viola Clarke of Mill Cove and formerly Kierstead Mountain, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on April 4, 2010 at the age of 78. Born in Meaford, Ontario she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Nina (Wonch) Lee. Frances is survived by her husband Gesner A. Clarke, daughter Melody McKnight, son Jamie (Linda) Clarke; all of Kierstead Mountain, grandchildren; Joey, Cody, Max, Valerie and Joel and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Betty. Frances loved to take care of her grandchildren and other children as well, she was an avid reader and wrote her own poetry. She enjoyed going home to Meaford for visits and spending time with her new friends in Mill Cove. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held at the Kierstead Mountain Baptist Church on Thursday April 8, 2010 at 2:00PM. Interment will be at the Kierstead Mountain Baptist Cemetery. Donations made to the Diabetic Society or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
