Obituary of Jacqueline Gertrude Kincaid

JACQUELINE GERTRUDE KINCAID - The death of Jacqueline (Jackie) Gertrude Kincaid of Riverside Court, Woodstock occurred on October 23, 2013 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB. Born in Saint-Guillaume, Quebec on May 16, 1930 she was the widow of Joseph William Kincaid and the daughter of the late Albert Elie Pontbriand and Ernestine Marie Desnoyer. Jackie spent her youth in Farnham, Quebec and Chipman and most of her adult life in Rexton and Sussex. She was a diligent homemaker and a very caring and generous person with a mischievous spirit. She was an avid knitter and cook who delighted her children with her holiday dinners and sweets and her friends with her delicious doughnuts. Jackie is survived by her children: Stephen Kincaid of Rexton, Peggy (Leonard) Foster of Green Mountain; Paul Kincaid of Moncton; John (Janice) Kincaid of Moncton; and Peter (Bonnie) Kincaid of Fredericton; grandchildren: Christine (Clarence) Levers of Newmarket, ON; Joseph (Donna) Kincaid of Toronto; Christopher (Lisa) Foster of Miramichi; Matthew (Melissa) Foster of Fredericton; and Kayleigh, William, Laura, Megan and Patricia Kincaid of Fredericton. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Kayla, Karah, and Serena Levers, Madison Kincaid, Hope Foster, and Elias Foster; sisters Marguerite Leduc of Valleyfield, Quebec, Regeanne Richards of Moncton, Giselle (Harding) Poitras of New Ross,NS, Annette MacKrith of Hawkesbury, ON, Lise Beaubien of Quebec City, Denise (Francis) Joyce of Grandby, Quebec; and Mariette Fontaine of Toronto; and several nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by son Cpl. Joseph (Gail) Kincaid of CFB Trenton, ON; brothers Ernest Pontbriand and Maurice Pontbriand, and sisters Simonne Boutin, Rita Poitras, and Theresa Pyne. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home (433-2133), 21 Aiton Road, Sussex from where visitation will be held on Friday October 25, 2013 from 7-9 pm; and a funeral liturgy will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am with Father Arnie Hachey presiding. Interment will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Norton. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
