Obituary of Sarah Alice Folkins

Mrs. Sarah “Sally” (Young) Folkins, of Sussex, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 10th, 2017.

Sally was born in Sussex and was the daughter of the late John and Clara Young.

Sally retired after 35 years of working for Health and Community Services. She loved Blair, her children and her grandchildren; they always came first. Sally was also very close to her mother, her best friend. Her door was always open and everyone was welcome. She loved to shop and travel. Sally also loved her pets and animals and she considered them as part of the family.

Sally will be lovingly remembered by her husband Blair; her daughter Rebecca Keith and her husband Darrell of Belleisle Creek; her son Scott Folkins and his wife Tammy of Sussex Corner; her sister Joan Allen of Sussex; her grandchildren: Cohen and Hannah as well as many extended family and friends.

Sally was predeceased by her sister Carol Marr.

Arrangements are in the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, NB E4E 5L8 (506)433-2133. A service celebrating Sally’s life will be held at the Sussex Select Community Chapel on Thursday, September 14th, 2017 at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Wesley Cemetery, Berwick.
