Doreen J.M. Becker (nee Blanchard), 86, of Sussex, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on January 8, 2014. Born in Estevan, Saskatchewan, she was a daughter of the late Alphonse and Annie (nee St. Pierre) Blanchard. Doreen is survived by her husband, Edwin Becker; her daughters: Carol Ann Sehn of Kindersley, Saskatchewan and Barb Davis of Sussex; her sons: Terry (Carla) Motz of Glidden, Saskatchewan, and Bradley Motz of Brandon, Manitoba; her brother Joe (Allison) Blanchard; her beloved 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and extended family members and friends. Besides her parents Doreen was predeceased by her sons: Melvin and Larry Motz; her sisters: Evelyn LaVallie and Amy Schei; her brothers: Roland Blanchard, and Maurice Blanchard. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home (506-433-2133). As per Doreen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
