Obituary of Shirley Louise Robinson
The death of Shirley Louise Robinson of Sussex occurred after a brief illness at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 23, 2008. Shirley was born at Woodstock, NB in 1927, the only child of the late Herbert and Rowena (Britton) Carr, and was the wife of the late Paul G. Robinson who passed away in 1967. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Lammens (Hans) of Wards Creek, and grandchildren, Carl of Calgary, and Paul (Misun) of Calgary; her son Larry Robinson (Betty Godin) of Youngs Cove, and grandchildren, Craig (Tabatha) of Fredericton, Laura (Joe Turgeon) of Fredericton, Steve (Danielle) of Fredericton, and Svein Peine of Windsor, ON; her daughter Brenda Leask of Sussex, and grandchildren, Lyndi of Sussex, Robyn Smith (Russell) of Moncton, Nikki and Kris, both of Sussex; two great-grandchildren, Brayden Robinson and Ella Smith; and a cousin, Thelma (Arthur) Clarke of Fredericton. Shirley is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Frank Robinson (Jean) of Lindsay, ON, Emily Fox of Woodstock, Carl Robinson (Marion) of Woodstock, and Betty Kitchen of Lindsay, ON. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Ian Leask, and her sister-in-law, Shirley Robinson. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday August 26, 2008 at St. Paul’s United Church, Sussex at 3:00 pm. Interment will be in Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex.
