Obituary of Robert C.J. Beers
The death of Robert C.J. Beers of Sussex Corner occurred on August 30, 2006 at home at the age of 75. Born at Coal Branch, NB a son of the late Noble and Gladys (Fisher) Beers and the husband of Pauline E. (Green) Beers, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on August 15, 2006. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters; Edith Brown (David), Lower Cove and Ivy Otis (Mark), Sussex Corner, daughter-in-law Julie(nee Adair) Beers, New Line, nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Nathan and Marcus Brown, Andrew, Matthew and Amy Beers, Natalie and Nevin Otis, sisters Lydia McCrae (Frazer), Black River and Becky Tanasichuk, Saint John, brothers Sterling and John, Beersville, NB, sister-in-law Ethel Beers, Sussex Corner, brothers-in-law; Murray (Olive) Green, Apohaqui, Albert (Betty) Green, Sussex, Greta (Ed) Shaw, Sussex, Arthur (Irene) Green, Belleisle and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, son Daryl Beers (2005) and brothers Tom and Bennett Beers. Robert was a member of the Sussex United Baptist Church and he loved to fish and hunt. His passion was his family, especially his grandchildren; which was evident whether he was at the hockey rink, soccer field, basketball courts or the baseball diamond watching and waiting to cheer. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held Saturday September 2, 2006 at the Sussex United Baptist Church at 3:00 PM. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Sussex United Baptist Church Heating Fund would be appreciated by the family.
