Melba Ilene (Williams) MacLeod of Penobsquis, NB passed away unexpectedly April 28, 2004. Born in Annendale, NB. She was predeceased by her husband Norman A. MacLeod in 1994 and granddaughter Tracy Lynn Morrell in 1985. Melba is survived by her children Brenda Lee Morrell and husband Doug of Sussex; Gerald MacLeod and wife Catherine of Sussex Corner and Cynthia MacLeod and partner Doug Ouimet of Penobsquis. Five grandchildren Alexander MacLeod, Nicholas Morrell, Shannon MacLeod, Peter Morrell and Megan Morrell. Melba is also survived by one sister Donna Langille and husband Boyd of Saint John, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held Saturday May 1, 2004 at the Penobsquis United Baptist Church at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Norman A. MacLeod Sholarship Award or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
