Richardson, Marie Eugenie “Jean”, 87, of Sussex, passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2014. Born in Riviere du Portage, NB, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Helen (nee Basque) Rouselle. Jean was the wife of Clarence “Murray” Richardson who passed away in 1963. She is survived by her children: Marilyn Withers of Black River, Robert “Bob” Richardson (Mary) of South Branch, and John Richardson (Molly) of Jeffries Corner; her sister Emilliene Comeau (Fabiene) of Riviere du Portage; grandchildren: Mary Susanna Lawton (Gregg), Shirley Anne Withers (John), Fred Withers (Rebecca), Scott Thorne, Grant Thorne, Anthony Richardson, Kandace Richardson (Scott) and Brandy Devine (Dwayne); several great-grandchildren; her life long friend Melvin Wedge; as well as many extended family and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Jean was predeceased by her daughter Shirley Ann Thorne; grandchildren: Shawn Thorne and Amanda Richardson; her great-grandson Alexander Tobin; her son-in-law Ted Withers; her brothers: David, Leslie, Cedric and Peter; and her sisters: Louise and Archarge. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 6-8 pm and the funeral service will be held on Monday June 9, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Allen Tapley presiding. A private family interment will be held in Trinity Cemetery.
