Obituary of Helen Pearl Davidson

Davidson, Helen Pearl (nee Dibblee), 91, of Apohaqui formerly of Saint John, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 28, 2013 in her 92nd year. Born in Sussex, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Ada (nee Wortman) Dibblee. Helen is survived by daughters: Linda (Wayne) White of Quispamsis and Christina Foley of Rothesay; son, Robert (Linda) Davidson of Hampton; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by sisters: Mary, Mildred and Violet; brother, Robert “Ted”; and by her loving husband, George A. Davidson, who passed away in 2008. Helen enjoyed the many people she met while working almost 30 years at Sears. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Helen always put others first and valued family above everything else. She enjoyed many social activities, card parties, bowling, travelling, cooking - best pies and beets in town! Our most sentimental memories will be of you and the way you touched our lives with your love. You gave us the heartwarming feeling of being loved - a feeling we will keep forever. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sussex Select Community Funeral Home where visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm; a celebration of a blessed life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 2:00pm with Rev. Kevin Vincent presiding at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Rd. Interment will be held in the Pioneer Cemetery. Donations to the Collina Baptist Church, the Atlantic Community Church, or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
