The death of Michael Reinhold Meier of Sussex occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 16, 2009 at the age of 25. Born in Sussex, a son of Reinhold and Maria (Giermindl) Meier. He is survived by his wife Katleynn “Kate” (Sprague) Meier, daughters; Sophia and Kristina, his parents, his sister Natalie Crowley (Chris) of Saint John, his brother Christian Meier (Amber) of Spain, his maternal grandmother Olga Giermindl of Knightville, his parents-in-law Dale (Nancy) Sprague of Corn Hill, sister-in-law Laci (Brad) Goodbrand of Alberta and brother-in-law Levi Sprague of Alberta, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Michael was predeceased by his grandfathers Adolf Giermindl and Theodore Meier and his aunt Brigitte Raab. Michael loved to go four-wheeling, driving his truck, chatting with friends, hunting and farming and fixing things in the garage. He was an awesome Dad and Husband and a true “Country Boy.” As per the family’s wishes no visitation will be held. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday September 21, 2009 at 11:00AM at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Sussex. In lieu of flowers donations made to the “Trust Fund for Daddy’s Girls” would be appreciated and can be made at Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133).
