Obituary of Myrtle Dykeman
It is with sadness, the family of Myrtle June (Perry) Dykeman, age 80, of Sussex Corner, NB, announces her death which occurred on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at the Sussex Health Centre, Sussex, NB.
She was born in Codys, NB, on June 20, 1937, a daughter of the late Beecher and Dollie (Smith) Perry. Myrtle is survived by her loving husband Russell Dykeman; daughters: Claudia Dale and her husband Glen of Jemseg, NB, and Cynthia Christie and her husband Scott of Penniac, NB; sons: Curtis Northrup and his wife Debbie of Chester Basin, NS, Murray Northrup and his wife Bonnie of Quispamsis, NB, and Lee Northrup of Alberta; step daughter Margie Briggs of French Village, NB; step sons: Stan Dykeman and his wife Stacy of Chipman, NB, and Jimmy Dykeman of Fredericton, NB; sister Gertrude MacDonald of Quispamsis, NB; brother George Perry and his wife Mary of Codys, NB; grandchildren: Perry, Lindsay, Katie, Olivia, Paige, Christopher, Cassidy, Ashley and Alex; step grandchildren: Ryan, Duncan, Tristan, Brooke, Shaylyn, Matthew, Martina and Lucas; great grandchildren: Kenny, Avery, Addison, Mya, Levi, Abby, Paige and Georgia.
Besides her parents, Myrtle was predeceased by her son Eugene Northrup; sisters: Lavolia Thorne and Marjorie Hetherington; and brothers: Judson, Freeman and Elisha Perry.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sussex Select Community Funeral Home (506-433-2133), 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, NB, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 4 to 8PM. The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00AM from Sussex Select Community Chapel. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner, NB.
