Obituary of Bryant Lynn Dunfield

Bryant Lynn Dunfield, 62, of Penobsquis, passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2015. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late Roy and Mary (nee Whitenect) Dunfield. Bryant was retired from Potash Corp, and was a member of the Penobsquis Fire Dept. for over 25 years. A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and being at the camp; he also enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin and kitchen parties, but above all, he loved spending time with his precious Savannah. Bryant will be sadly missed by his loving wife Laurie Dunfield (nee Fanjoy); his daughter Erin Dunfield (Dain Tomilson) of Penobsquis; his granddaughter Savannah; his brothers: Roy “Havie” Dunfield (Doreen) of Sussex, Walter Prosser (Mary) and Peter Douthwright (Cheryl), all of Saint John; his mother-in-law Joan Fanjoy; his brothers-in-law: David Fanjoy (Tracy Johnston) and Douglas Fanjoy; his nieces & nephews: Debbie O’Donnell (Danny), Shane Dunfield (Pauline), Laurie Dunfield, Barry McPhee (Marvin), Susan Drisdelle (Val), Patti Doody (Ralph), Jami McLaughlan (Dwayne), Eddie McPhee, Connor Fanjoy and Garrett Fanjoy; as well as by many extended family members and friends. Besides his parents, Bryant was predeceased by his sister Frances McPhee; his nephews: Roy McPhee and Corey McPhee; his father-in-law Cecil Fanjoy; and his brothers-in-law Dale Fanjoy and Clement “Tid” McPhee. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133). The Funeral Service will be held at the Penobsquis Baptist Church on Thursday August 6, 2015 at 11:00 with Rev. Dr. Neville Gosman presiding. Interment will be held in Cardwell Cemetery.
