Obituary of George Lynch
George Lynch was born on April 11, 1916 in Jeffires Corner. He was the son of the late Samuel and Fannie (Lisson) Lynch and was the husband of the late Florence Lynch who passed away in 2003.
George was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He belonged to the Sussex and Valley CB Radio Club, the Sussex Snowmobile Club, Hammond Jeffries Corner Fire Department, the Londonderry Heroes L.O.L. #91 and the the Royal Black Preceptory.
When George was younger he loved bowling and playing hockey. He also loved hunting, fishing and camping. He loved to play cards, especially cribbage and listening to the radio.
George loved being surrounded by family, especially the kids and he will be forever missed.
George will live on in the hearts of his daughter, Georgie Greer of Sussex; his son, Wallace and his wife Lillian of Bains Corner; his grandchildren: Chris Greer of Oxford, NS, Tony Greer and his wife Kim of Quispamsis; Sam Cruickshank and Eddie Heath of Sussex, Corey Lynch and his wife Amy of Edmonton, Shawn Lynch of Saint John and Crystal Pasch of Saint John; Nine Great Grandchildren: Philip Greer, Kelsey-Lynn Greer, Jessy Allen, Aidan Lynch, Mason Lynch, Sydney Pasch, Zachery Pasch, Willow O'Dell and Ryan O'Dell; his sister-in-law, Grace of Saint John; his close friend, Gail Hachey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. George Henry Willard Lynch of Poodiac, passed away on April 8, 2012 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by his sisters: Mildred Armstrong, Ethel Tays, Susan Ericson, Evelyn Linden, Beatrice (Dolly) Hodgin and Dorothy Anderson and by his brothers: Russell, John, Harvey and Murray Lynch.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12th from 1-3 and 6-8pm. An Orange Lodge tribute will be held at 5:45pm.
A Celebration of George's life will be held from the Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00pm. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery.
Memorial donations made to the Orange Lodge, All Saints Anglican Church or to a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
