The death of John Warrington Hutchinson of South Branch, NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 9, 2009 at the age of 79. Born at Sydney, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Harry and Dorothy E. (Johnson) Hutchinson. John is survived by his wife, Eloise (Myers) Hutchinson, daughters; Sherryl Carroll of St. Stephen and Catherine Hutchinson (Janet) of Fredericton, sons; Garry (Lynn) Hutchinson of Sussex and William (Elizabeth) Hutchinson of Glassville and the childrens’ mother Della, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, sisters; Doris Sullivan of Saint John and Anne Toner of Deep River, ON and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by a sister Joyce Johnston and brother William “Bill” Hutchinson. John had a lengthy career with the Armed Forces, he became a Master Warrant Officer and after his retirement from the Army he went to work with the Solicitor Generals Office until his final retirement in 1994. He was very proud of his children and grand children for any and all accomplishments in their lives. John had a great passion for driving, he enjoyed going for drives to see the countryside and loved taking a road that he had never travelled on before. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Saturday April 11, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. As per John’s request, no funeral service will be held. Donations made to the Diabetic Society would be appreciated by the family.
