Obituary of Faith L. Loughery
Loughery, Faith Lawrence, 85, of Southfield, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on January 3, 2012.. Born in Sydney, NS, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Minnie (nee Crosby) Killam, and the wife of the late Lt. Talmadge M. Loughery. Faith is survived by her daughters: Lynette Loughery (Mario Gagnon) of Red Lake, ON, M. Heather Boel (Hans) of Parlee Brook, and Patricia Loughery Friars of Sussex; her sons: David of Southfield, Billy (late Gale) of Rothesay, and Tom (Bonnie) of Southfield; her sister, Enid Hicks, and her step-sister, Tina Menzies (Dave), all of Sydney; sister-in-law: Muriel Loughery of Saint John West, and Lois Loughery of California; as well as by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Faith was predeceased by her grandson, Neil Friars; great-grandson, Luke Folkins; brothers: Paul Killam, Bruce Killam, and Lynwood Killam; sisters: Lucy Morrison and Irene McSween; step-sister, Isabel Campbell, and step-brother, John McGibbon. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex (506-433-2133); visitation will be held on Friday January 6, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Southfield United Church; the Celebration of Faith’s Life will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Karen MacNeill presiding at the Southfield United Church, Southfield. Interment will be held in the Brown’s Cemetery at Bains Corner in St. Martins.
