Obituary of Daryl Eveleigh
The death of Daryl Everett Eveleigh of Roachville occurred on June 22, 2009 at the age of 65. Born at Lower Cove, NB, he was the son of the late W. Everett and Evelyn A. (Richardson) Eveleigh. Daryl is survived by his wife Sandra E. (Crealock) Eveleigh, his son Andrew Eveleigh (Krista) and their sons Blake and Samuel of Fredericton, his daughter; Jill Hayner (Kevin) of Okotoks, AB, his sister Margaret Porter (Bernard) of Sussex; two nieces and several cousins. After graduation from Sussex High School, Daryl attended NBCC in Moncton and returned to Sussex to work with his father,Bud,and Doug McCready in their Rambler dealership He operated a local service station for several years and in 1981 he opened DE Muffler Shop in Roachville from which he retired in 2002. Following retirement, he had more time to devote to his hobbies --- boating in Belleisle, working on the Goshen woodlot, repairing every imaginable machine and building delightful play structures for his grandsons. As his children grew, Daryl became the "go-to" guy for every problem they encountered whether it was mechanical or otherwise. He and Sandra spent time traveling and enjoyed their grandsons as they came along. In these last few years, family and friends became ever more important to him. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday June 25, 2009 at Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex at 11:00AM with a reception to follow at the church hall. A private family interment will be held at the Roachville Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Roachville Cemetery or the charity of the donor's choice.
