Obituary of Margaret Edith Packman

Margaret Edith Anne Packman of Sussex Corner passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2015. Born in London, England, on Oct. 16, 1934, she was the second daughter of Harold and Elizabeth (Reine) Bartlett. She was with us 80 years. Margaret was the loving wife of the late Sidney G. Packman. She leaves a loving legacy of three children including daughters Vanessa Packman and Alison Cole (partner Paul Lucke), son Neil (Chantale) Packman, as well as a daughter of the heart, Donna (Bill) High. She had eight grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was predeceased by her sister, Irene Waters. She is survived by her younger sisters, Sheila Viney and Edna Preece-Smith. She is remembered for her kindness, sense of fun and logical approach to life. She was proud of her heritage while excited about what was coming next. Her green thumb and nurturing was shared liberally with those she loved. She was well known for her love of all puzzles and wordplay, as well as her dogged research on subjects that mattered to her. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex. As per Margaret's wishes there will be no visitation and a celebration of her life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Sussex Health Centre, the Sussex Regional Library, the New Brunswick SPCA, or to the charity of your choice.
