Obituary of Beryl Patricia Ogilvie
The death of Beryl Patricia Ogilvie occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, July 12, 2008 at the age of 90. Born in Doaktown, NB a daughter of the late Michael and Edith (Holmes) MacCormick. Beryl worked at the Victoria Public Hospital in admitting and as a ward clerk, the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital as an x-ray transcriptionist, as well as four years working with World Vision as a correspondent between adopting families. She is survived by her daughters; Joanne Russell (Ron) of Dartmouth and Patricia Gaunce of Hartland, her son Fred Ogilvie (Evelyn) of New Maryland, grandchildren; Melody Russell, Angela Oatway (Jason), Andrew Russell, Connie Ogilvie, Steven Ogilvie (Tammy), Tony Gaunce (Barb) and Michelle McPhail (Jack), eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Beryl was predeceased by her husband Ross Ogilvie who passed away in 1982, infant son Jackie, sisters; Phyllis MacGarvie, June Amos and Norma MacCallum, brother Holmes MacCormick, niece “Babs” MacGarvie and nephew Steven MacGarvie. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00…10:30AM on Tuesday July 15, 2008 at the Sussex Wesleyan Church, followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM. The interment will take place at the United Church Cemetery in Doaktown at 2:00PM followed by a reception at the United Church Hall.
