Obituary of Pauline Ida Chambers
The death of Pauline Ida (nee Parlee) Chambers occurred at home on November 5, 2014 at the age of 89. Born in Parleeville on August 30, 1925, she was a daughter to the late Roy and Bessie (nee Pickett) Parlee and the loving wife of the late George Chambers. Pauline is survived by her children: Esther Mason of Vancouver, Linda Fleming (Reed) of Saint John, Bob Chambers (Elizabeth) of Quispamsis, Betty Dobbelsteyn (Russell) of Dutch Valley, Harold Chambers (Valery) of Newtown, Heather Spicer (Dale) of Dutch Valley, and Roy Chambers of Dutch Valley; her siblings: Winnifred Brown of The Glades, and Norma Kelly of Riverview; 17 grandchildren: Patrick, Sara and Elizabeth Mason, David Fleming (Victoria) and Judith Gilbert (Mike), Tim Chambers (Katie), Becky Hartwell (Lyle), Ben and Laura Chambers, Jonathan (Amanda), Alicia (Daniel) and Michael Dobbelsteyn, Patty Kane (Mark), Cindy Totton (Ryan), Colin Chambers and Megan and Matthew Spicer; seven great grandchildren: Nora, Lily, Bobby, Ruth, Austin, Olivia and Tyber; as well as many extended family and friends. Besides her husband and parents, Pauline was predeceased by her grandson, James Fleming; her sisters: Mildred Parlee and Leslie Mills; and her brothers: Rutherford, Donald and Laurence Parlee. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, from where visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 2:00pm at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Sussex Corner, with the Rev. Allen Tapley presiding. Interment will be held in Trinity Cemetery. Donations to St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Threshold Ministries, Word of Life Fellowship or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
