The death of Lillian Doris Morton age 84 of Sussex occurred August 8, 2005 at Moncton. Born at Coverdale, she was a daughter of the late James Riley and Kate (Colpitts) Stiles. Lillian is survived by her husband of 57 years James “Joe” Morton of Sussex, sons Richard (Diane) Morton of Riverview and Wayne (Ellen) Reeder of Cornelius, Oregon, sisters Mildred Trueman of Hampton, Helen O'Blenis of Salisbury and Marjorie Matthews of Kelowna, BC, brothers; Fred (Sylvia) Stiles of St. Albert, AB and Bob (Mae) Stiles of Pembroke, ON, grandchildren Andy and Scott Reeder, Carolyn McNaughton, Alex, Ian and Craig Morton, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband Stewart Reeder, brother Dr. Esmond Stiles and sister Bernis Steeves. Lillian was a well-known hairdresser and businesswoman where she operated the Fashionette Beauty Salon. She was active for many years at the Sussex Golf and Curling Club and the Chamber of Commerce. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Thursday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday August 12, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend Leo Martin officiating. Interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner.
