Howell, Arthur Charles, 86, of Waterford passed away on September 24, 2012 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Petitcodiac in 1926, he was a son of the late Charles and Gladys (nee Seymour) Howell. Arthur was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20, the Waterford 50 Plus and the Sussex Bowlers. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Howell; step children: Bob Jones (Phyllis) of Penobsquis, Bill Doucette (Sharon) of Orleans, ON., Pat Lackie (Curtis) of Smiths Creek, Linda Dalling (John) of Chambers Settlement, Terry Forsythe (Debbie) of Waterford, Allison Forsythe (Elizabeth) of Waterford, Michael Forsythe (Linda) of Fall River, N.S., Jamie Forsythe (Debbie) of Berwick and Mark Forsythe (Tia) of Halifax, N.S.; sisters: Lillian Young (Doug) of Ottawa and Florence Howell of Calgary; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his first wife, Blanche Howell; sisters: Marguerite Fillmore and Evelyn Wilt; and brothers: Norman and Albert. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm; the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20 will be holding a tribute service at 6:45pm all in Sussex Select Community Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday September 28, 2012 at 2:00pm at the St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Sussex Corner with Rev. Allen Tapley presiding. Interment will be held in the St. John’s Anglican Cemetery in Waterford at a later date.
