The death of Elmor George Perry of Sussex occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on January 3, 2011. Elmor was born at Sussex in 1920, a son of the late James and Estella (Long) Perry and was the husband of the late Hazel (Phinney) Perry. He was employed by the Town of Sussex as the Town Clerk and Treasury and Development Officer. Elmor was a founding member of Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship, where he had served as a Deacon and had been secretary treasurer for many years. He was predeceased by his brothers Walter and Stanley and is survived by a sister-in-law, two nieces and his church family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home (506-433-2133). A time of visitation will be held at Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship, Pine Street, Sussex on Wednesday January 5, 2011 from 9:30 … 10:45AM. The funeral service, conducted by Reverend Tim MacDonald will be held at 11:00AM. At Elmor’s request, memorial donations made to the church would be appreciated. Interment will be at Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex in the spring.
