The death of Margaret Edith Lauranne Baker of Sussex Corner, NB and formerly of Yarmouth, NS occurred on August 21, 2007 at the Sussex Health Centre. She was born at Yarmouth in 1926, a daughter of the late Murray and Edna (Crosby) Trefry. Margaret is survived by her beloved husband, Gordon R. Baker; daughters, Sandra Ritcey (Jim) of River Phillip, NS, Judy Steinhoff of Orillia, ON, and Gaile Davis (Richard) of Calgary, AB; Eight grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; brother Leighton Trefry (Eleanor) of Canning, NS; sisters, Adelaide Robinson (Richard) of Yarmouth NS, Ruth Colquhoun of Quispamsis, NB and Patricia Rhyno (Lawrence) of Yarmouth, NS; brother in law Tom Locke of Hampton, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Anne Locke, son in law Larry Steinhoff and brother in law Allen Colquhoun. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex NB (506) 433-2133 on Friday, August 24 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 25, 10:30 AM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park, Sussex. Memorial donations to the ALS Society or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
