Obituary of Elton Lee Marshall
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Elton “Hoss” Lee Marshall of Norton on July 4, 2016 at his home. Born in Moncton on December 20, 1957, Hoss was a son to the late Guy and Welthy (nee Hopper) Marshall of Mapleton. Hoss was employed with Prime Valley Holsteins and moved to Norton to be closer to his work. In his earlier years, he helped work on the family farm and in the spring enjoyed working at the family maple bush where he enjoyed meeting new people. Hoss was a caring and loving person and loved being the big tease to everyone. One of his pet peeves was being called “Elton” by his sister who he was always correcting. Hoss was so proud of his son, especially seeing him graduate from the RCMP Academy. Hoss will be sadly missed by his only son Russell Marshall (Cortney) of Swan River, Manitoba; his sister Glorena Hiltz (David) of Petitcodiac; his brother Eugene Marshall (Laurin Davis) of Moncton; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, Hoss was predeceased by an infant brother and by his two nephews Nathan and Matthew Hiltz. Arrangements are entrusted to the professional care of Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, (506)756-3361. As per Hoss’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at the New Elgin Cemetery on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00am with Pastor David Woodworth presiding. A reception at the Laurie Bishop Elgin Seniors Center will be held following the service. Donations to your local RCMP Peace Officer Memorial Fund in Hoss’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
