Our mother, Lesley Pickett Mills of Sussex NB, wife of the late Laurence B. Mills has passed away peacefully at the age of 90 years at the Sussex Health Center on July 26, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Roy S. and Bessie W. (Pickett) Parlee of Parleeville. Our mother will be sadly missed by her family; John (Carrie) Mills, Florida, Beth Briscoe, Sackville, Barb Mills, Miramichi, Jennifer (Stephen) Patterson, Rothesay, and sisters; Pauline (George) Chambers, Rockville, Winnie (Ron) Brown, Anagance Ridge and Norma (Ralph) Kelly, Riverview, sister-in-law Winnifred Parlee, Roachville, and grandchildren: Chase, Savannah, Shawna and Stephanie, many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her son Ken; brothers: Rutherford, Don and Lawrence, sister; Mildred and son in law Milton Briscoe. Lesley was actively involved in Trinity Anglican Church (Anglican Church Women, Mother's Union, Chi Rho Fellowship) and the MS Society, taught school for many years in Sussex and the surrounding area. She enjoyed entertaining in her home, tutoring, helping others, gardening, Scrabble and spending time with family and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Rd. (506-433-2133) Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex at 2PM on Friday July 29, 2005, conducted by Reverend David Barrett. Interment at the Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Sussex Corner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Anglican Church, MS Society, or donor's choice. Special thanks should be given to caregivers; Terri, Kim, Nancy, Lorna, Ruthie, Norma and Gord who have been extra helpful, as well as many family and friends. The care and attention given by doctors and nurses and staff at Sussex Health Center has also been greatly appreciated.
