Obituary of Donald Victor Lisson

The death of Donald Victor Lisson of Wards Creek, occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex on October 25, 2010 at the age of 45. Born in Moncton, NB, a son of Kenneth and Carolyn (Richardson) Lisson of Apohaqui. Donald is survived by his wife Kimberley (Dunfield) Lisson and their daughter Sarah Lisson,his parents, sisters; Nancy Lisson (Kevin Coates) of Newtown, Elaine (Ron) Goddard of Apohaqui, brother Stephen (Tammy) Lisson of Sussex, parents-in-law Ron and Noreen Dunfield of Sussex Corner and brothers-in-law Kevin Dunfield of Sussex Corner and Ron Jr. (Hughanna) Dunfield of Waterford and several nieces and nephews. Donnie graduated from Sussex Regional High School in 1984. He was hired on at Dennison Potacan Potash Company in the fall of 1984 as an apprentice. While at the mine he also received his certificate for Basic Mine Rescue Apparatus and Procedures in November of 1988 and received his Diploma of Apprenticeship and Qualification in May of 1989, as an industrial electrician. He left Dennison in 1989 to work for Redpath Division in Bathurst as an industrial electrician. Donnie was hired on in 1991, when it was called Potash Company of America, now known as Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan and took courses on Emergency Cardiac Care and CPR and received his diploma in October of 1991 and received his certificates for welding and mechanical in January of 1992. Donnie enjoyed archery, golfing, taking long rides on his fourwheeler and tending to Christmas trees along with his father Ken, they would grow, shape and sell the trees. Donnie loved the outdoors. He liked to play cards, help others or sit and chat. As per Donald’s wishes there will be no visitation. A private family funeral will be held with interment at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Medley Hall in Apohaqui on Friday October 29, 2010, beginning at 12:30PM.
