The family of David Jack of Elgin wish to announce his passing on September 24, 2015 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home at the age of 94. Born in Coleman’s Corner on May 30, 1921, he was a son to the late Daniel and Elizabeth (nee Killiam) Jack and the husband to the late Frances Coleman. David is survived by his daughters: Shirley Jack of Sussex and Mary Lynn Wright (Richard) of North Carolina; his son Allan Jack (Wendy) of Elgin; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; his special son and caretaker, Gerald Carter (Mary) of Elgin; a special niece Nancy Dunham; as well as many other nieces, nephews and extended family. David was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister Hester Steeves and by his brothers: Theodore and Phillip. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac (506)756-3361. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 2:00pm with Rev. Danny Jack presiding all in Armstrong’s Funeral Home chapel. Interment will take place at the New Elgin Cemetery.
