Neville Ellison Huggard of Sussex, husband of Bonnie Huggard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2014, surrounded by his family. Born in Sussex on September 26, 1939, he was the son of the late Myles and Ethel (Ellison) Huggard. Neville began his career with the Post Office while he was still in high school, and retired as a Supervisor in 1991. In his spare time, Neville enjoyed music and sports, and played hockey and coached baseball in his younger years. In addition to his wife of 51 years, Neville is survived by his children, James Huggard (Wendy) of Picadilly and Sheila Reid (Andrew) of Roachville; grandchildren Nicholas Huggard, Jenna Reid and Scott Reid; an uncle, Nathaniel Huggard of California; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex. Interment will take place in Kirk Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Parkinson Foundation or the Kiwanis Nursing Home Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
