Obituary of Howard John Price
The death of Howard John Price of Sussex occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 15, 2010 at the age of 54. Born in Sussex, a son of the late Wilfred and Joyce (Turner) Price, Howard is survived by his wife Flora (Long) Price, his children; Amanda Price of Sussex, Allan Price (Angela) of Sussex and Rebecca Price (Jody) of Petitcodiac, and their son Connor, sister Jean Price of Sussex, brother Raymond Price of Lower Greenwich, brother-in-law Paul Kelly of Sussex, and his children Sean and Allie, and two nieces Ann and Heather Price. Howard was well known in the automobile industry. He worked as a mechanic for 20 years in different dealerships as well as for the town of Sussex, finishing his career as a service writer at Clark’s. Howard was very gifted and clever with his hands, working at everything from gardening to carpentry. He enjoyed baking, particularly making his special birthday cakes for his children and baking cookies with his grandson Connor. A self taught artist, Howard has done several paintings, designing and crafting many of his own frames. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday September 18, 2010 at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Jeanette Cosman officiating. Interment will be at Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex. Donations made to the Sussex Dialysis Unit, Kidney Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
