The death of Mary “Polly” (Burrows) Whiteside of Sussex occurred on August 12, 2009 at the age of 96. Born in Lancashire, England, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Marsh) Burrows. She is survived by a son Glen (Jill) Whiteside of Lantzville, BC, daughter-in-law Arletta Whiteside of Plumweseep, grandchildren; Scott (Carla) Whiteside, Randal (Tera) Whiteside, Brad (Linzey) Whiteside, Tracy (Robert) Booth, Heather (Doug) Kincade, Michael Whiteside (fiancé Miranda Murray), numerous great grandchildren, step grandchildren Sally, Sarah and Shaun. Polly was predeceased by her husband W. Stanley Whiteside, sons Allan and Dennis Whiteside and her brother Harry Burrows. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral service will be held on Friday August 14, 2009 at 10:00AM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
