Obituary of Frank Folkins
FOLKINS, Frank C. The death of Frank Clayton Folkins of Pleasant Ridge occurred unexpectedly on June 23, 2009 at the age of 63.
Born in Millstream, Frank was a son of the late Frank and Jean (Ganong) Folkins. He is survived by his wife Beverly (Briggs) Folkins, daughters; Heather McGrath (Michael) and Lisa Folkins, all of Pleasant Ridge, son Wayne Folkins (Carla Doyle) of Millstream, sister Jean Steen, brother Gerald Folkins (Marilyn), aunt Dorothy Belding all of Saint John, several nieces and nephews and his dog Teddy.
Frank was predeceased by an infant daughter Janice and sister Georgie Dunfield.
Frank was a member of Local 502 IBEW for more than 30 years. He was Deputy Fire Chief for the Millstream Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, retiring in 2003. Frank was a beef farmer for 30 years and looked after the Berwick Cemetery and the Folkins/Fenwick Cemetery with great pride and dedication.
The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday June 27, 2009 at St. Paul’s United Church at 1:00PM.
