Obituary of Jean Edna Ferris

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Edna Ferris of Moncton, who passed away at The Briarlea. Jean was born in McAdam, NB, on December 26, 1916, daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (nee Watson) Delaney. Jean was the wife of the late Donald W. Ferris who passed away on August 14, 2003. She graduated from McAdam High School, and worked in Toronto for a few years before marrying Don on September 4, 1943. Jean then worked as a school custodian at Sussex High School until she was 67. She will continue to live on in the hearts of her children: Wayne and his wife Pat of Sussex, and Patricia and her husband Ken of Riverview; six grandchildren: James, Jennifer (Paul), and Patrick Ferris, Peter Isnor (Bobbi-Lynn), Cheryl Thompson (Rick) and Jason Isnor; great-grandchildren: MacKenzie & Zachary Isnor, Kylee and Brianna Thompson, and Caroline Ferris; her brother-in-law James Riddell of Calgary as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Jean is the last surviving member of her immediate family; she is predeceased by her two brothers: Douglas Delaney (Gertrude) and Donald Delaney (Phyllis); her sister, Helen Riddell, and by one nephew, Neil Riddell. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex on Sunday October 27, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held Monday October 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm in the Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex, with The Reverend Wandlyn Snelgrove officiating. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Trinity Anglican Church Organ Fund would be appreciated by the family.
