Aubrey Foster Gailey was born in Carsonville on June 30, 1949; he was the son of the late John Wesley and Helen (Ganong) Gailey.
Aubrey was the epitome of the outdoorsmen. He loved to be outside and could regularly be found hunting or camping. He enjoyed music nights and spending time with his family. He had a kind heart, a quick wit and loved to laugh and make people smile.
He will live on in the hearts of his wife, Mary MacKay; his children: Jarret Gailey and Britney of Belleisle Creek, Cody Jones and Kathi of Jeffries Corner and Charlene Belding of Summerfield; his siblings: Sydney and Cathy of Keirstead Mountain, Edward of Millstream, Nettie Gailey and Myles MacAuley of Millstream; Lois Simpson of Fredericton and Pearl Douthwright of Sussex; his grandchildren: Allie, Brinley, Seth, Lily, Madison, Katrina and Montana; great grandchildren: Kenzie and Beau; his girl, Sophie; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Aubrey Gailey passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 9, 2022 at the age of 72.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: George Gailey and Howard Bettle; his sister-in-law, Bonnie and his nephew John.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). The family will Celebrate Aubrey’s life at their home (1573 Rte 880 Summerfield, NB) on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2pm for anyone who would like to stop by.
