Have just learned of Barb’s passing. Sincere condolences to her family and friends. I met Barb at the West Community Hospital , always friendly and a good conversationalist! Met many of her Feline friends at her home on Montreal Ave. So enjoyed the photos that have been uploaded.

My heartfelt sympathy on the death of Barb. I fondly remember Barb as a little girl when she would visit her aunt and uncle on Manawagonish Road in “ Lancaster” and my family lived next door. She was delightful, charming and caring. We reconnected when she was nursing at St.Joseph’s. She has now found peace. In my thoughts and prayers..Donna Holding Schroeter

Barb was such a kind and loving spirit. She cared for our Mother when she was in the nursing home, sharing her skills and kindness to comfort Mom whenever we asked for her assistance. Her sweet and happy nature was so appreciated by Mom. Her dedication to sharing past memories and sharing her tales, often made Mom's day. Further, it also comforted our family that the strong personal attention she delivered, enabled us to tend to family events, knowing our Mom was in her capable hands.
Barb has moved on to her just reward, and is in the company of her Mom & Dad. A life well lived.

I am so saddened to learn of Barb's passing! She always had a smile....and made her patients smile...a dear dear person...who made a difference!! My Dad was so blessed to have her as his nurse at Ridgewood Veterans Wing, she and her colleagues always had him chuckling....I was blessed to cross her path a few times, and we always had a hug and a smile....Rest well dear friend until we meet again!

Forty years of making memories with Barb include working with the Veterans at the "old DVA" and Ridgewood, trips to the farm with her driving the tractor to the meadow to pick fiddleheads, fall picture taking tours, many hours of crafting,helping plant her loved vegetable and flower gardens, escape weekend trips to her house in Saint John and at least a hundred thousand cups of tea! I am sure many others share like fond memories Barb was a warm, generous, fun filled and friendly person always ready to meet someone new and share her talents. She will be sadly missed by many.

We shared our driveway gossip and who had specials on cat food this week. Barb would call me over to her yard or pull into my driveway and say I got you a big bag of kibble for your cats. Will miss our talks, your neighbours Val and Francis.
