Obituary of Bill Moore
It is with great sadness the family of Cecil William Joseph Moore (Bill) announce his passing on July 4, 2022. Born in Sussex on April 7, 1949; He was the son of the late Annie and Cecil Moore.
He attended school in Sussex and joined the military at the age of 18. He served in Germany for seven years. He later became a Sartex and served in Trenton, Summerside, Gander and Edmonton. After full service in the military, he worked as a firefighter at Dow Chemicals for 25 years.
Bill and Janice loved to travel. Whether it was to Germany, many cruises to Alaska and the Mediterranean and winters in Arizona. He came to Sussex every year to visit family and friends and spend a night or two at the camp with his lifelong friends: Jack McKay, Elmer Cole, Rod Kyle and George Chapman.
Bill loved to hunt, golf and work on his antique cars. He worked as a volunteer at the antique military war museum restoring war airplanes. Bill loved his church in Gibbons, Alberta (The Alliance Church) where he lived for the last 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janice Pankiw; sisters: Patricia McGovern, Nowell Kyle (Rod) and chosen sister, Carolyn Kelly; nephews: Gerald, Jeffery and Neal McGovern and Shawn Kyle; nieces: Tracy Middleton and Karlia Grant; as well as several great nieces and nephews and great great nephews.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Gerald Moore and his brother-in-law, John McGovern.
He will be sadly missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). With a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
