Obituary of Cecilia Elizabeth Muscat

It is with sadness that the family of Cecilia Elizabeth Muscat announces her passing which occurred on Sunday, August 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, at the Sussex Health Centre.  She was born on December 31, 1932, in Salisbury, NB, and was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Ritchie) McCollum.

Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Anthony) Habraken of Dutch Valley, NB, and her son Brian (Anne) Muscat of Coldwater, ON; her grandchildren: Erin (Cody) Richardson, Drew (Amy) Habraken, Bryce Habraken, Jordan Muscat, Joshua Muscat, and Kyle Muscat; her great-grandchildren: Mason Richardson and Charlotte Richardson; her brother-in-law, Joe (Vicki) Muscat of Mississauga, ON; and her sisters-in-law, Palma Muscat of Mississauga, ON, Margaret Muscat of Australia, and Joyce McCollum of Amherst NS; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Besides her parents and her husband, Michael, Cecilia was also predeceased by her sisters: Rosemary Nutter and Anna McIllwraith; and her brothers: John McCollum, David McCollum, and Joe McCollum.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), from where public visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4-7pm. A Celebration of Cecilia’s life will be held from St. Francis Xavier Church 114 Church Ave, Sussex (506-433-1902), on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Ward’s Creek Cemetery.
