Obituary of Ralph Thompson
Mr. Ralph Rodgers Thompson was born in Taylor Lake, he was the son of the late Leonard Thompson and Jeannie (Rodgers) Thompson.
A perfect description to why we like to know a little bit about who a person was, what they did, and what they cherished most in their lives. He lived on a farm and worked in the woods at an early age. He talked about a time when he was 12 years old and his dad was sick and they were running out of wood for the stoves. Ralph and a younger brother hooked up a team of horses and went to woods, worked all day to bring out a load of wood for the family. So even at a young age Ralph was in the woods. As a young man Ralph worked in clearing land, one such job that he helped with was clearing land for the Saint John Airport.
Ralph is survived by his wife Rita Matthews, his children: Laura Lee Coates and her husband Delbert of Corn Hill, NB, Beth Horsman and her husband Loris of Petitcodiac, Karen Blanche LeBlanc and her husband Daniel of Quispamsis, Kelly Long and her husband Garry of Saint John; nine grandchildren: Sherry Lee Dupuis and her husband Roger of Cornhill , Roger Coates and his wife Nicole and Havelock, Matthew Coates of Moncton, Randall Horsman of Fredericton, Stevie Horsman of Petitcodiac, Jocelyn LeBlanc and Michael LeBlanc of Quispamsis and Connor Long and Rebecca Long of Saint John; three great Grandchildren: Melanie, Morgan and Dakota Harrison; two brothers: Cecil Thompson of Saint John and Gerald Thompson of Barnesville; his sister: Doreen Estey and her husband Oscar of Bayswater; his extended Family in Burlington: Allan Matthews and his wife Suzanne and their children: Brian, Joel and Jarrod; Audrey McLean and her husband Allan and their children: Brian, Kyle, Marla
