Eve & Family
I really enjoyed getting to know Robert in last few years and sharing our many stories and musical connections. We were both very interested in Vancouver Music History from 60s 70s 80s had a lot of similar tastes in music and mutual respect for the many great musicians we had both played with and got to know.
Robert aka "Boston Bob" one time Lasseters Den Band Leader was a wealth of Vancouver Music information from the years he spent there. I really enjoyed our many long talks and sharing Music back and forth online. Great that he stayed involved in music and played in band with his sons.
Sincere condolences to Eve Sakell whole Family and friends and anyone that knew Robert. Sad to see him go.. RIP Robert Sakell

Boston Bob, Eve, Jocee and I were out for supper one night, the entertainer started playing Beatles songs, he played both guitar and keyboard.. Bob went up with him and the guy was totally shocked and Bobs talent, unforgettable moments

I met Bob in Vancouver in 1970. He was a band leader and hired me to work as vocalist in his band. Full of talent and fire energy, we traveled through the US on the road for many years. He was our protector and mentor. He will be greatly missed xxxx Amazing musician and vocalist as well as father, grand father and of course life partner to Eve. Much love ❤️

Very sorry to hear that Bob has left this life to rest in peace,many years ago I remember going to the Strand Theatre to hear some music being presented that night BOB played the piano that night and Spargo Douthright was the other special guest.
We didn't need anyone else to sing that night because everyone was enjoying the music and the moment. Spargo with his deep
voice and magic fingers on guitar and Bob on that piano made the Strand Theater a magicall place that night. This was a few
years back BUT I can still hear that beautiful sound still 2022. We were all blessed that night! June Jordan
