Obituary of Joan Edna Chown

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joan Edna Chown announce her passing on October 27, 2022 at the age of 69. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Edna (McGivery) Buchanan.

She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband of 48 years, Martin; their son, Jeremy Chown (Jennifer Robichaud) of Sussex; her granddaughter, Emma; her sisters: Eloise Adair of Picadilly, Zeta Seeley of Hammondvale, Doreen McGouey and her husband Bob of Alberta, Judy McKinnon and her fiancé Brian Anderson of Sussex and Carol Dempster and her husband Ralph of Upham; her brothers: Buzz Buchanan  and his wife Barb of Hammondvale and Randy Buchanan of Hammondvale; her sisters-in-law: Marina Buchanan, Connie Buchanan, Marion Hunter and her husband Ronald and Darlene Bryant and by her brother-in-law, Douglas and his wife Shaun; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers: Morris and Mel Buchanan; her sister, Valerie Buchanan; her brothers-in-law: Jimmy Adair and Lloyd Seeley and by her nephew, Ryan Buchanan.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176). A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 2:00pm.
