Obituary of Rodney Lee Armstrong
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rodney Lee Armstrong announce his sudden passing on December 3, 2022 at the age of 59. He was the son of the late T. Leroy and Anna (Williams) Armstrong.
Rodney started driving truck when he was 17 years old working along side his father and brothers for T.L Armstrong & Sons until he started his own company TJK Holding Inc. in 1995. His love of community and history compelled him to buy and re-establish Jones General Store in Apohaqui in 2011. Rodney was a social man who never missed an opportunity to tell a joke and would strike up conversation with anyone who crossed his path. He was a loyal and loving husband, father and grand father. His grand children Harrison and Caroline were his pride and joy. Anytime spent with family and friends was valued above all.
He will live on in the hearts of his soulmate, Kerry Lynn (Preston); their sons: Thomas (Lorna) and Kevin (Ashley); his grandchildren: Harrison and Caroline; his brothers: Dwayne (Rosanna), Bradley (Beth), Christopher (Wendi) and Michael (Connie); his brothers-in-law: Graeme Jones and Kevin Hourihan; his sister-in-law, Roxanne McLean (Kenny); his cousins-in-law, Margaret Johnson (Derek) and Harold Boomer (Andrea); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Jonathan; his brother, Kevin, his sister Lori Jones; his mother and father-in-law, Anne and Dave Preston; his brother-in-law, John Preston; his sister-in-law, Beth Hourihan and his aunt-in-law, Joan Boomer.
